OVER Group — WordPress website design for a holding of companies

OVER Group – a modern website for a holding company

A website for a manufacturing group of 10 brands with very different profiles was a challenge on both the strategic and the visual side. The group includes trading companies (in cosmetics and veterinary products, among others) and teams operating as independent businesses in customer service, marketing and software development. The new site had to work as a corporate showcase and make it easy to reach the right department, but also convey the momentum of a growing organisation with over 25 years behind it, built on strong values and deep in-house competence.

Stage 1

Preparation

  • Design documentation

  • Consulting and proposals

  • Reworking existing material

Consulting and working with a decision-making group

We began with a series of meetings with representatives of several departments, who jointly shaped the content and functionality of the site. Several visual concepts were produced, and the final direction was chosen through shared analysis. A process like this – with a large decision-making group – demands unusual precision in communication and a written record of every agreement, so we ran it iteratively, with sign-off stages and test builds of the UI. That made the whole thing far more transparent.

Content strategy

In parallel we built the content structure and information architecture, which had to accommodate the thematic range of every company in the group. We focused on flexibility of messaging, with a clear split into sections: the group itself, company history, the board, values, the offer, the brands and an extensive recruitment area.

Stage 2

Design and implementation

  • Complete website design

  • Easy editing through CMS blocks

  • Recruitment panel functionality

Visual design

The visual design follows modern minimalism while keeping the client’s palette and visual identity. We took care over responsiveness and clarity, bearing in mind how varied the audience is: B2B clients, job candidates, investors and potential partners. Full-bleed photography, light animation and text sections interleaved with visuals keep the balance between aesthetics and information.

WordPress development

The site was built on WordPress using custom post types and ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), which gave full control over how job listings are displayed, added and edited. Every listing uses the same consistently designed fields, and the integrated contact form lets candidates submit an application that is automatically tagged with the listing it belongs to — which keeps the process easy to administer.

Stage 3

Optimisation

  • Full data analytics

  • SEO optimisation

  • Page speed improvements

Search engine optimisation

We put a lot of weight on technical optimisation and SEO. Every page got its own meta title and description. We sorted out the heading structure and clean URLs, and excluded pages that do not belong in the index (archives, search results, author pages). The site was submitted to Google Search Console, with analytics through GA and Meta Pixel.

User-facing optimisation and security

We also put protective measures in place: invisible reCAPTCHA, login attempt limits, a firewall against DDoS attacks and a baseline WordPress hardening setup. The site was tuned for performance too — image compression, WebP, lazy loading, CSS/JS minification, order in the scripts and third-party files being loaded, prefetching and a deliberate loading queue that keeps the number of requests to a minimum.

The end result is a stable, modern site that brings the group’s varied structure together with an elegant business presentation and a substantial recruitment back end — ready for more content and for marketing campaigns.

In summary

A website for a group of very different companies turned out to be a strong example of working with a large decision-making team and of applying modern practice to designing and building on WordPress. What mattered most was creating a flexible, presentable platform that combines image, information and function — from company history and values, through consistent brand descriptions, to a full recruitment system.

We built in full SEO support, took care of security and performance, and kept the interface in a modern minimalist style consistent with the client’s colours. A well-developed admin panel and a flexible content type system make managing the site easy, job listings especially. It is a project that shows well how to combine technology with business diversity and consistent brand communication.
